Bato Capital, formerly operating as Bato Partners, was established in 1995 by Alan Horn and Michael Bato to provide independent Investment Banking Services to local and international public and private companies.

Alan Horn was previously employed as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouse (now PwC) in their Sydney and Montreal offices prior to joining Amalgamated Metal Corps plc’s Australian operations (a member of the Preussag Group) as Finance Director before establishing his own corporate advisory business.

Michael Bato, who sadly passed away in 2013, had a distinguished career in Merchant Banking for over 20 years, including a Director of Barclays Australia, Deputy Chairman & CEO of Wardley Australia / HSBC Sydney and Managing Director of Scandinavian Bank Group. Michael retired from the firm in 2008.
